The fuel doesn't get burnt in the cylinder and flows out with the exhaust and then ignites later on in your exhaust, typically at the cat. It isn't good for your cat, but I don't know how bad it is either. It's still in the early phases but soon we'll be offering it with different noise levels like we do on other cars. The OEM downpipe thus far has been too restrictive to properly get the pops and crackles noise.
