WebbBasford was enclosed in 1792 when the tithes were commuted for land worth £120 p.a. By 1831 the value was £260 including 150 acres of glebe land, nearly all of which had been sold by 1902, much of it as the site for Bagthorpe Workhouse. WebbBasford had a Wesleyan Methodist chapel opposite St. Mark's Church on Basford Park Road. Built by 1902, it was demolished in the early 2000s and the site was redeveloped with apartments.
