WebDec 1, 2016 · The absolute maximum thickness for the toolkit is 40mm (because of the 50mm bolts), but with sheets that thick, the cone of polystyrene which is ejected is too wide at the point of exit and is likely to spread beyond the edges of the hex you're cutting. You may have more success with cutting two thinner sheets at the same time.
