Heating of cyclic compounds
Web26 de may. de 2024 · One way I can think of is converting a cyclic compound to a ketone using wacker process, then cleaving the ketone with conc. H N O X 3 and reducing the aldehyde obtained using clemmensen or Wolff kishner reduction. Not a straightforward way but just my two cents. – Aniruddha Deb Dec 28, 2024 at 7:58 1 WebCyclic compounds can show various combinations of these stereochemical features, including conformations, stereocenters, chirality, enantiomerism, diastereomerism, and another form of cis/trans stereoisomerism. The conformational behavior of cycloalkanes, C nHn, depends on the ring size.
