On lvl 9 with talents you can stack up to 4(class basic) + 2 * 2 (1 feat from lvl 8 barbarian, 1 from level progression -> extra rage power) + 3 (adamantine armor) + 2 (specific dwarven shield/whatever protector, seen 2 so far) ~ DR 13/-.
